Am Dienstag, den 7. Oktober geht es mit der zehnten Staffel von 'Supernatural' weiter.
Seit einiger Zeit sind sowohl der Titel der ersten Episode (‚Soul Survivor‘) als auch eine Kurzbeschreibung der zehnten Staffel bekannt.
Sam Winchester, dessen Bruder Dean im Finale in seinen Armen gestorben ist, muss feststellen, dass die (vermeintliche) Leiche verschwunden ist. Die Zuseher wissen natürlich, dass Dean nicht tot ist - nicht wirklich.
Die „demon!dean“ Storyline ist natürlich sehr außergewöhnlich und ich bin schon mehr als gespannt, wie und ob sich diese auflösen wird. Wie sehr sich Deans Wesen verändert hat, oder ob dies überhaupt der Fall ist (obwohl dies mehr als anzunehmen ist), ist eine der Kernfragen dieses Jahr. Eine Figur wie Dean, den wir ja überaus gut kennen, immerhin folgen wir Sam und Dean auf ihrere Reise seit fast 10 Jahren, plötzlich zum Dämon werden zu lassen, hat einen unglaublichen Reiz. Zuvor haben wir so etwas noch nicht gesehen - wir kennen Dämonen und wir kennen Menschen, doch die Wesensveränderung, die dieser dämonische Zustand mit sich bringt, ist etwas sehr Interessantes. Vor allem, da Dean nicht die übliche längerfristig andauernde Transformation durch Korruption der Seele in der Hölle mitgemacht hat. Wobei das natürlich diskutabel ist, da Dean sehr wohl eine Zeit lang in der Hölle verbracht hat. Doch obwohl dies schon länger her ist, könnte es natürlich sein, dass dieser Umstand ein Faktor war, der zu seiner jetztigen Lage geführt hat. Sei es wie es sei. im Oktober werden wir mit Sicherheit mehr erfahren.
Zwei der Produzenten/Autoren, Jeremy Carver und Robert Singer, sprechen nun über den weiteren Verlauf nach dem schockierenden Finale im Mai. Wie üblich erfahren wir nicht sehr viel, was natürlich auch gut so ist – wir wollen uns die Spannung ja nicht nehmen lassen.
Q: Was that a bit of human emotion we glimpsed in Crowley as he sat by Dean’s body before that startling resurrection?
"That’s not just residue of human emotion," Carver reveals. "When Crowley was shooting up human blood, whether they admit it or not, a kinship developed between these two. Call it humanity or call it friendship, it’s definitely there."
Q: How will Sam feel about his older brother palling around with the King of Hell?
"Crowley will have his hooks deep into Dean when the show returns," Singer notes. "Once Sam finds out the truth about Dean, he’s just not going to have that!"
Q: Can’t The Winchesters just get along?
"The boys are in a pretty unique place when they go into Season 10," is all Carver will tease.
Q: What’s happening up in Heaven?
"How Cas will deal with his impending death and where he sees himself in the firmanent of Heaven and angels will be addressed in the first episode of the season," Carver promises. "Some angels are still down on earth. What those stragglers are doing could be interesting." And what about Metatron, who is now incarcerated in Heaven’s dungeon? Have we seen the last of him? "Hell no," says Carver. "As long as Metatron is alive, I don’t think his story is over yet."
Q: So what’s the big theme for the season?
"This might sound mysterious," says Carver, "but to me, Season 9 was about choosing the kind of person you wanted to be, like Cas deciding whether to stay human or become an angel again. I think Season 10 will be about everyone looking up and saying, ‘You know what, I am what I am.’ We’ll see that play out in each and every character."

Season 10 begins with Sam’s frantic search for his missing brother, who is gone without a trace. The road to recovering the wayward Dean takes Sam down dark paths, with consequences that will shake the boys to their core. Meanwhile, Castiel has to pick up the pieces in the aftermath of Metatron’s campaign. With his grace failing and rogue angels still on the loose, Cass will face the ticking clock of his own mortality as all-new threats emerge to once again push all of our heroes to their limits.
